The study result of Korean hibakusha done in 2004.

One tenth of hibakusha in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 were Koreans.
In 2004 South Korean National Human Rights Commission asked South Korean Association of Physicians for Humanism(www.humanmed.org) to study the health problems of second

generation of Korean victims of nuclear weapons . It had studied for 5 months and reported the offsprings of hibakusha showed 89 times prevalent rates of health problems of normal people of the same age group.  Over half of the dead second generation of hibakusha died before the age of 10 and 60.9% of the dead dided without knowing the cause of death.

 According to the study the offsprings of hibakusha suffer from chronic diseases such as anemia, cardiac infarction, angina and depression, schizophrenia and various malignant diseases. Postal examination of 1,226 second generation of hibakusha shows that male offsprings suffer anemia 88 times normal prevalence, cardiac infarction, angina 81 times, depression 65 times,  schizophrenia 23 times, asthma 26 times , thyroid diseases 14 times, gastric and duodenal ulcers 9.7 times, colon cancer 7.9 times. Female offsprings suffer also suffer cardiac infarction and angina 89 times, depression 71 times, breast benighn tumors 64 times, asthma 23 times, schizophrenia 18 times, gastric and duodenal ulcers 16 times, hepatic cancer 13 times, leukemia 13 times, thyroid diseases 10 times and stomach cancer 6.1 times. 

Information from 4090 offsprings of 1092 hibakusha families shows 156 out of dead 299 (over half) died before the age of 10 and the causes of 182 (60.9%) death had not even illuminated. 19 (0.5%) of living 2nd generation of hibakusha show congenital malformations and diseases.
