China follows closely the development of PSI. We share the concern of PSI participants over the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and their means of delivery and favors PSI's purpose of nonproliferation. China has no difficulty regarding the information exchange and law enforcement cooperation within the framework of international law.

However, just as most of the members of the international community, China feels concerned about the legitimacy of the interdiction measures taken by PSI participants beyond the international law and their possible consequences. China always believes that, now that the purpose of nonproliferation is to enhance the international and regional peace, security and stability, any nonproliferation measures should not contradict such purpose.
