Columbus, Ohio. February 20, 1985. Paul Tibbets was commander of the 509th Airborne Division, whose mission was to air-drop America's first atomic bombs. Tibbets himself piloted Enola Gay, the B-29 that bombed Hiroshima.
"I would like to believe that nuclear weapons as such will never be used again, but I'm no that naïve. I think they will be, just because we have them. The question is, how to use them?"
